About Encore

Encore was founded in April 2007 by Helen Grant. Helen pictured here is a dancer who has trained and worked professionally in the business for over 12 years giving her a vast knowledge of the entertainment and dance industry.

Helen's work has taken her around the world working on many continents dancing, working both on land and on cruise liners. Her 12 years dancing has lead her not only to become accomplished in her craft but to gain an understanding of the role good quality dancewear has played in her success and can personally vouch for the dancewear brands Encore supply.

Being a travelling performer Helen met with the difficulties of obtaining certain dancewear items especially when out of the UK which lead her to opening Encore and the accompanying website. Here you can browse through items and have them delivered to your doorstep or dance school the world over.

Helen is still dancing and travelling plus also teaches locally when time permits. During these periods Helen's Mum, also an accomplished dancer helps out in the Encore shop in Northallerton. Mrs Grant used to be a professional Latin American and Ballroom dancer so you can be assured of plenty of knowledge and sound advice at Encore from either Helen or her Mum.
